Watch the Shootout on the Snye games with front row viewing! Shootout on the Snye is looking for off-ice volunteer referees to assist with officiating the 4 on 4 pond hockey games during the annual WinterPLAY Festival. Games are 30-40 minutes long and take place on the hour, with plenty of warm up time in between. Whistles and scoreboards will be provided.
*Volunteer referees must be 16+ and must have the basic knowledge of hockey rules. A referee orientation will take place on February 24, 2020 to review responsibilities, safety, and the Shootout on the Snye pond hockey rules. Volunteers must provide their own winter clothing. Volunteers with the WinterPLAY Festival fall under the general liability with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
Location of Volunteer Opportunity: Snye River
As a volunteer you are committing to:
- Reading and comprehending the information presented in the online volunteer orientation (link provided in registration confirmation email). Contacting the Volunteer Coordinator for clarification if you have questions or do not understand a component(s) of the orientation
- Arriving on-time and completing the assigned shift,
- Being a courteous and respectful representative of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, and
- Completing the Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement provided
