The Northern Lights Health Foundation’s 7th Annual Hospital Bed Races, presented by Birch Mountain Enterprises LP are a fun and entertaining family event where teams of four race in head-to-head heats while pushing a hospital bed 50 meters, with the fastest team winning the coveted golden bedpan trophy.
As part of the SET-UP CREW, you play a vital role in ensuring our supplies and equipment are safely unloaded and set up in the appropriate area(s) in a timely manner. Some of your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the unloading of gear, equipment, tools and supplies from vehicles
- Moving gear, equipment, tools and supplies to designated area(s)
- Various set up activities could include: set up stations (example: registration, photo booth, first aid), placing posters or signage around the venue, setting up fencing, setting tables and chairs, decorating.
- Tidying up areas
- Work under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator/Assistant and a NLHF staff member
Skills and qualifications:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Bending, lifting, carrying, pushing various items
- Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time

- Dress for the weather (wear layers)
- Close-toed shoes are required
