The ATC Cultural Festival 2024 will build on the success of the 2019, 2022. and 2023 festivals.
Hosting Indigenous artists and performers from the region’s First Nations and Métis communities, along with guest artists for four days of spectacular arts and cultural programming.
The ATC Cultural Festival offers participants engaging and inspiring opportunities highlighting collaboration, artistic development, mentorship, and cultural revitalization.
Hosted by Athabasca Tribal Council, this will be a gathering and celebration that welcomes all people. The ATC Cultural Festival will be both an important community event, and a continuing cultural tourism attraction for Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the registration check-in for each workshop
- Assisting artists with set-up and clean-up of their spaces
- Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and putting them in a storage area (Set up and take down shifts)
- Gathering supplies from storage areas or artist vehicles as needed
- Sharing Indigenous Culture with attendees
- Keeping the site clean and safe
- Volunteer shirts are provided before your first shift, you must wear them.
- NOTE: Volunteer shirts MUST be removed once your shift is complete
Keeping the site clean and safe is every volunteer responsibility :
- Pick up trash and garbage to keep the site clean and well maintained
- Advise team leader or higher management if you notice anything like washroom issues, water supply problems, broken materials, medical emergencies, etc.
