The Northern Lights Health Foundation’s 6th Annual Hospital Bed Races, presented by Birch Mountain Enterprises LP are a fun and entertaining family event where teams of four race in head-to-head heats while pushing a hospital bed 50 meters, with the fastest team winning the coveted golden bedpan trophy.
As part of the SET-UP CREW, you play a vital role in ensuring our supplies and equipment are safely packed up and loaded into the moving truck in a timely manner. Some of your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the repacking of gear, equipment, tools and supplies
- Moving gear, equipment, tools and supplies to designated loading area(s) or vehicle
- Various tear down activities could include: tear down stations/tents, removing posters or signage around the venue, taking down tables and chairs, taking down fencing, collecting all NLHF related items from around the venue
- Cleaning various areas
- Work under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator/Assistant and a NLHF staff member
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Bending, lifting, carrying, pushing various items
- Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time

- Close-toed shoes required
- Dress for the weather (wear layers)
