Hotel Support Volunteers
(Please report to the virtual check in process to begin your shift) - See Below
**Before your shift, please report to the volunteer check-in by calling 780-788-0335 to confirm you have registered with WBVolunteers.ca. and information of destination will be assigned.
Hotel Support Volunteers will be dispersed to each of the hotels to
· - support the comfort of evacuees
· - share information (bus schedules, resources)
· - collect donations
We ask all Hotel support volunteers to please report to the virtual Volunteer Manger , and you will then be given a hotel to report to.
Also, must need own transportation to travel to appointed locations.
May require access to an electronic device.
Responsibilities:
- Support the comfort of the evacuee by sharing resources that is located at the Hotel or assisting with online resource page of the RMWB
- Maintain security by patrolling the area, monitoring activity
- Compiling donations for delivery to evacuees
- Assist with general duties as needed
Skills Required:
- Communication
- Empathetic
- Organizing, walking, standing for long periods of time
- Lifting heavy objects may be required.
- Travel ability to appointed locations is a must
- Cultural Awareness training is recommended
