Our Elders and Senators are an essential part of Metis culture and history. For this reason, we are asking for volunteers to help ensure our Elders/Senators have everything they need to enjoy their day.
This position includes;
- Getting food/drinks/snacks for assigned senator/elder
- Providing physical support for senators/elders with mobility issues when walking around the event
- Ensuring senators/elders have materials needed to participate in activities like bingo, cards, etc.
- Providing companionship and conversation throughout the day
This activity is perfect for volunteers looking for a more relaxed volunteer experience. Youth looking to hear stories from their elders are encouraged to apply.
