We are very excited to announce our Casino dates for Oct 24th and 25th, 2021 (Sunday-Monday night). All Funds raised are used for our programs like Social Respite Care, Kids First Camp and The Inclusion Education Program.
Please ensure volunteers arrive on time, have a government-issued ID and are 18 years of age or older. Volunteers are not permitted to gamble or consume cannabis or alcohol at the facility during the two-day event.
Meals are provided on shift, the casino does not have a full kitchen at this time. They offer sandwiches and snacks, such as chips and bars, however, you are welcome to order food in for the volunteers via delivery or Skip the Dishes etc..
Paid staff of the charity organization cannot fill the positions of general manager, banker, or count room supervisor.
Volunteers may work in the Cash Cage for Shift 1 and the Count Room for Shift 3 on the same day.
Each volunteer may only be assigned one (1) position per room for the Event. For example: if the Cashier for Day 1, Shift 1 is returning for Day 2, Shift 1, they must be the Cashier. If the Cashier from Shift 1 is returning for the count room Shift 3, they will be assigned a new position for the count room.
There are now some new requirements for volunteers coming into the casino effective September 20. Rivers Casino (formerly Boomtown) is going with the vaccine exemption option offered by the government. This means that every person who enters the casino must provide one of:A) Their full Covid vaccination recordB) a single dose of an approved Covid vaccine dated longer than 2 weeks ago,C) a medical exemption note from a doctor, orD) a negative Covid test dated no later than 72 hours and not provided by AHS.If you have time to cover one shift or know someone that can.
