Volunteer Opportunity: Event Tear-Down – YMM Patio Party

The RE/MAX Connect Fort McMurray Food Festival is recruiting volunteers to assist with event tear-down following the YMM Patio Party Presented by 20|20 Management, taking place at the Heritage Shipyard in support of Waypoints. This event is a key part of the RE/MAX Connect Fort McMurray Food Festival and brings the community together for an evening of music, connection, and local flavour.
Role Overview:
As an Event Tear-Down Volunteer, you will support the efficient and safe dismantling of event infrastructure and assist with clean-up efforts after the event concludes.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Help dismantle and pack up tents, tables, chairs, signage, and decorations
- Assist with waste removal and site cleaning
- Move bars to the collection/staging area
- Dump ice from mobile bars
- Collect left over alcohol/mix and bring to the main area
- Wash dishes
- Support the organization and loading of equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with the event team to ensure the venue is returned to its original condition

Additional Information:
- This is a volunteer position (unpaid)
- All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
- Volunteers should be physically able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
- Refreshments will be provided during volunteer shifts
- Comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended
