Role includes assisting with various tasks around the event, such as;
- helping keep the area clean of garbage and hazards
- assisting stations/vendors as needed
- helping keep attendees back from the helicopter zone when race is in action
- other tasks as needed
Event will be taking place near the Cricket Pitch at Syncrude Athletic Park, and will go ahead except in the case of thunderstorms or intense wind/rain. Please wear appropriate clothing for all weather situations to ensure your health and safety!
About the event:
Held since 2000, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo’s Annual Rubber Duck Drop has been an essential fundraising event for the organization. We provide positive mentorships to youth people who face challenges like bullying, isolation, poverty, abuse, social anxiety, low self-esteem and more. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment for all individuals!
The Duck Race allows us to raise awareness and funding to support the young people in our community through our free evidence-based mentoring programs.
