On August 1st, our local baseball team, The Giants, will attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the most Hawaiian shirts worn in one area. This is a high‑profile, tightly coordinated event, and we’re looking for dependable, committed volunteers (18+) to help make history.
We’re recruiting Stewards, the official volunteers responsible for counting and verifying the number of Hawaiian shirts in the stadium. Stewards are not required to wear Hawaiian shirts themselves; they are not participants in the record attempt, though they’re welcome to join the fun if they’d like.
All Stewards will receive full training and orientation before the event begins. You’ll be provided with an official Guinness counting form and clear instructions to ensure the record attempt meets verification standards.
Role Expectations
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift
Participate in a brief orientation and receive your official counting materials
Complete an accurate count during the official record attempt in the 7th inning (approximately 7:00 PM)
Maintain focus, accuracy, and consistency throughout the count
