Mission: To make Wood Buffalo the safest region in Canada to live, learn, work and play. Safe Community Wood Buffalo promotes a safe and healthy community through injury prevention programs and initiatives. With 95% of all injuries being the result of predictable and preventable events, our initiatives focus on education and behavioural changes. Through our committees, we identify injury issues in the region, mobilize stakeholders and coordinate events and initiatives.
