The Purple Chair Project

The Purple Chair Project is a passionate and dedicated nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about the overdose crisis and supporting those affected by addiction. Founded by a woman in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who has been in recovery since 2018, our organization was born out of a deep personal connection to the devastating impact of addiction on individuals and communities. Having witnessed firsthand how this disease is tearing apart lives and families, we are driven by a mission to break the stigma surrounding addiction and provide a platform for remembrance, education, and advocacy. We are a community of advocates, survivors, and allies who believe in the power of compassion, understanding, and action.
