Spring Fling is a lively fundraising event that has been held in the community for the past 36 years. The evening will feature a Donor Impact Showcase of programs, technology and equipment that has been previously funded through sponsorships and donations, along with a chef-inspired banquet dinner, great entertainment and a live auction.
As part of the RAFFLE TABLE CREW, your role is vital in selling various kinds of raffle tickets to our guests throughout the evening. Some of your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Invite and welcome guests to purchase 50/50 and wine pull tickets
- Explain any prize(s) associated with the purchase of tickets (Orientation will be provided prior to the start of the shift)
- Collect cash payments and return change (if any) for tickets
- Use of handheld interact machine to complete debit/credit transactions (Orientation will be provided prior to the start of the shift on how to properly use the interact machine)
- Provide customer receipts and keep transaction copies in the cash box
- Provide corresponding tickets to customers after ticket purchases
- Obtain guest information for ticket draw(s)
- Retain corresponding tickets from purchases and put in the raffle box(es)
- Work under the direction of a NLHF Staff member/Volunteer Coordinator
Skills and Qualifications:
- Approachable and friendly personality
- Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to handle cash and debit transactions and make change
