BrainSTEM Alliance is looking for Board Members and Ambassadors!
BrainSTEM Alliance is a non-profit organization with a focus on designing and implementing STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), entrepreneurship and leadership programming targeted at children, youth and young adults. We work with organizations in the Wood Buffalo area, Calgary, High River, and Sarnia, as well as other areas across Canada including Waterloo and Cape Breton.
As an organization focused on STEM, our current team is comprised primarily of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs, however, we are also looking for individuals with experience in finance, human resources, and legal backgrounds. We are a relatively new organization and are looking for individuals willing to help us grow and mature as a non-profit, while also being creative and innovative, and having fun!
The main tasks of Board Members are to:
- Attend quarterly board meetings and AGM
- Draft, review and give feedback on governing documents
- Advise on new ideas for program development and operations
The main tasks of Ambassadors are to:
- Attend quarterly meetings and AGM
- Champion BrainSTEM Alliance programs and initiatives
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers
