The Spelling Bee of Canada is an educational organization, promoting youth literacy since 1987. Our
goal is to encourage young people to expand their vocabulary, communication skills and self-confidence, by providing a foundation for future scholastic achievements.
As a registered charity , we depend on local businesses, organizations and individuals to contribute time, materials, services and/or funds to help us reach more communities and attract more participants.
Every year we will be conducting regional competitions; the winners of which will participate in the national level competitions.
We are currently looking for volunteers to take up the following position.
PRONOUNCER
Specific roles:
1. Pronounce words from the official / tie breaker list clearly.
2. Becoming very familiar with the rules and with the words to be used in competition.
Qualifications:
Fluency in English, Clear voice, decisive manner, ability to use A/V equipment and virtual platforms, and good listening skills.
