Dear Friends,
With the festive season approaching, it also marks the arrival of our annual Christmas Kettle Campaign with its familiar red kettles. It is our hope that you will again consider volunteering and being a crucial part of the success of our 2021 Christmas Kettle Campaign.
When you sign up to volunteer, you’re saying yes to so much more than just manning a kettle. The Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign is a critical fund-raiser for supporting our Community and Family Services department.
All donations gathered during the campaign stay in Fort McMurray and provide practical programs and services to individuals and families throughout the entire year, not just at Christmas.
This year we plan to have 5 kettles located throughout the city from 12pm to 8pm Monday- Saturday. Individual shifts are for a two hour period, or perhaps you and a group might consider sponsoring a day which would be a total 8 hours.
Please be advised that in accordance with the Salvation Army Mandatory Covid – 19 Vaccination Policy, all volunteers over the age of 12 must be fully vaccinated to participate in our kettle volunteer program.
We are truly grateful for the support we have received from you in the past and without great volunteers we would not be able to meet our objective. Thank you for your consideration to volunteer with our Christmas Kettle Campaign, a few hours of your time can make a big difference in the life of others.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in this worthwhile and rewarding fundraiser, it would be most appreciated. To volunteer please choose a time and date that suits you and respond to this opportunity on WBVolunteers.ca.
