Description

Are you looking for a way to give back to the community and make a difference?

Join us for our 'Summer of 69' Dinner Theatre and volunteer your time to support a worthy cause. We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are willing to help out with various tasks, like our 50/50 Ticket Sales! By volunteering, you will not only contribute to a great local cause, but also be part of an incredible event that can make a positive impact on a social profit organization working to end domestic-family violence, sexual assault, abuse and homelessness in our region.

This event occurs on February 24th and 25th, 2023 at Suncor Energy for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity High School.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Review ID and sell liquor tickets.
  • Must be 18 years of age and older.
  • May be required to work alone or in a group setting.

Waypoints has been providing valuable services and a compassionate shoulder to lean on for individuals affected by interpersonal and family violence since 1982. We assist in rebuilding lives through crisis intervention and a range of support services, while acknowledging the multitude of issues facing individuals who have experienced abuse. In 1987, when we first opened our doors to Unity House, the complex had a capacity of nine beds. Today, 30 years later, we have officially opened our new 45 bed Unity House, Sexual Assault Healing Centre and administration offices. We are therefore so excited to be able to present our 6th Annual Dinner Theatre after a two year hiatus due to covid-19.

All proceeds from events such as Waypoints’ 'Summer of 69' Dinner Theatre experience will be used towards the operation of our local emergency women’s shelter, Unity House, our Sexual Assault Healing Centre and our Second Stage Housing program.

For more information on Waypoints’ programs and services, we invite you to visit our website at: www.waypointswb.ca.

Please Note: Snacks, sandwiches, water, coffee will be provided to all volunteers. Please specify if you have any dietary restrictions in the “Additional Volunteer Information, “Notes" section when you respond to this opportunity.
