Volunteer Opportunity: CPR Station – YMM Patio Party

The RE/MAX Connect Fort McMurray Food Festival is recruiting volunteers to staff the CPR Station during the YMM Patio Party Presented by 20|20 Management, located inside the main house at Heritage Village in support of Waypoints. This event is part of the RE/MAX Connect Fort McMurray Food Festival and brings the community together for an evening of music, connection, and local flavour.
Role Overview:
As a CPR Station Volunteer, you will be stationed at the designated first aid table, prepared to respond promptly to any guests requiring CPR or first aid assistance.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Monitor the CPR Station and remain alert to any guests requiring assistance
- Provide first aid and CPR in accordance with Alberta’s legal and safety standards
- Assess situations calmly and act promptly to ensure attendee safety
- Maintain and restock first aid supplies and equipment as needed
- Communicate immediately with event staff and, when necessary, contact ambulance or emergency services
- Document incidents accurately and report to event leadership
- Support a calm and reassuring environment for guests in distress

Additional Information:
- This is a volunteer position (unpaid)
- All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
- Volunteers must hold current and valid CPR and First Aid certifications recognized in Alberta
- Comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended
- Refreshments will be provided during volunteer shifts
