The Wood Buffalo Food Bank is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our casino fundraising event at Rivers Casino. This is an important opportunity to help raise essential funds that directly support food security in our community.

Volunteer Roles Available:

Cash Cage: 6 hour shifts

General Manager: Oversees all Cash Cage operations, supervises volunteers, and ensures procedures and controls are followed.

Cashier: Processes cash and chip exchanges, maintains accurate records, and provides friendly service to guests.

Chip Runner: Delivers chips and supplies between gaming tables and the Cash Cage, keeping tables stocked and running smoothly.

Banker: Balances funds, tracks chip inventory, and assists with end-of-shift and end-of-event reconciliation.


Count Room: 3.5 hour shifts 

Count Room Supervisor: Oversees all count room activities, ensures procedures are followed, and resolves any issues during the count.

Counter: Counts cash and chips accurately according to established procedures.

Sorter: Organizes cash and chips by denomination to support efficient and accurate counting.

Amalgamator: Combines counted funds from multiple sources and verifies totals for reconciliation.

Recorder: Documents counts, totals, and discrepancies, ensuring clear and accurate records are maintained.

Waitlist: We are in need of volunteers who can fill in if other's cannot make it for their shifts. If a shift is full and you would like to potentially fill in please add yourself to the waitlist. You may be contacted with little notice but we will aim to confirm as far in advance as possible.

Must present valid government-issued photo ID
