Volunteer: The Hub Family Resource Centre Casino FundraiserThe Hub Family Resource Centre is looking for reliable volunteers to help with our upcoming casino fundraising event at Rivers Casino. This event plays a critical role in raising funds that allow us to continue offering free programs for families in our community, year-round. Cash Cage: 7.5 hour or 7 hour shifts General Manager: Oversees Cash Cage operations, supports volunteers, and ensures all procedures and controls are followed. Cashier: Handles cash and chip exchanges, keeps accurate records, and provides friendly service to guests. Chip Runner: Delivers chips and supplies between gaming tables and the Cash Cage to keep everything running smoothly. Banker: Balances funds, tracks chip inventory, and assists with reconciliation at the end of shifts and the event. Count Room: 4.5 hour or 3.75 hour shifts Count Room Supervisor: Manages all count room activities, ensures procedures are followed, and resolves any issues during the count. Counter: Accurately counts cash and chips according to established procedures. Sorter: Organizes cash and chips by denomination for efficient counting. Amalgamator: Combines counted funds from multiple sources and verifies totals for reconciliation. Recorder: Documents counts, totals, and discrepancies to maintain clear and accurate records. Volunteer Requirements - Must be 18 years of age or older - Must present valid government-issued photo ID - Volunteers may not gamble, consume alcohol, or use cannabis while volunteering - Ability to follow strict casino and security procedures All volunteers will be contacted ahead of the event to confirm attendance.
