Providing Wood Buffalo with education and tools to access safe and nutritious food.

HISTORY

Since 1983, the Wood Buffalo Food Bank (WBFB) has played a vital role in addressing food insecurity across the region. Each month, we provide support to an average of 800 families and individuals in Fort McMurray and surrounding communities. Our services extend throughout the entire Wood Buffalo region, including the city of Fort McMurray, Fort McKay, Fort McMurray First Nation #468, Anzac, Janvier, Conklin, and Fort Chipewyan.

The WBFB continues to hold memberships in: Alberta Food Bank Network Association, Food Banks Canada.

What We Do

The Wood Buffalo Wood Bank hosts a variety of different programs in efforts to battle food insecurity.
